Community Engagement Award - Weeton

Weeton Community Award

Capt Adam Diver, 2 LANCS Unit Welfare Officer, has introduced a Community Engagement Award.
The award is for Children under 16 years of age and they can be nominated by an adult (other than in their family) for anything which they have done to help the Community at Weeton e.g. helping to do gardens, picking up litter, helping with youth clubs or with younger siblings. Nominations can also be submitted from local schools and Honeypots under fives centre.
The first winner of the award was Andrew Gray. He was nominated for helping to tidy the Community Centre Cafe area every morning before he goes to School. Well done Adam!

The award was presented by Fleetwood Town FC goalkeeper, Billy Crellin, and was followed by a penalty shootout for children.
